Madison County Fairgrounds Arena and Buildings You're invited to the 3nd Annual Covered Bridge Fainting Goat Show! With 2 MGR Sanctioned Shows!
This is the 2nd annual Myotonic (Fainting) Goat Show, being sanctioned by the Myotonic Goat Registry. Show dates are September 10 and 11th, 2011. There will be 1-MGR sanctioned Show per day. All goats entered must be MGR registered. Show is being held at the Madison County Fairgrounds in Winterset, Iowa. There will be two certified judges. ABGA Judge: Douglas Glosser/September 10,2011 @ 1:00 PM. ABGA Judge: Dr. Fred C. Homeyer/September 11, 2011 @ 9:00 AM. This is a points and ribbons Show. MGR Show rules pertain to both Shows. What is a Myotonic (Fainting) Goat Show?
Come and find out for yourself, and you will truly be amazed at this marvelous breed of goat! There is so much more to this goat then its ability to "lock-up" and look as though it had fainted! Their condition of myotonia helps produce the muscling on this goat. They are judged for their muscle tone, and the proper conformation. Come out and see them for yourself! It is a great way to learn of the breed, meet the breeders, and make some great goat friends. Who knows-you may find yourself wanting to own a Myotonic "Fainter" Goat.
